123Read2Me123Read2Me Limited is an australian Public Benevolent Institution and registered charity (GDR and TCC status) dedicated to empowering children to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage by helping them achieve a functional literacy level. Our Vision is “ Every Child has quality books, and someone to read to them, every day”
123Read2Me’s founder, Melinda Shelley, began the initiative in 2012 when she realised that there are too many children coming to school who have never opened a book. “For families who are struggling to put food on the table, books are a luxury” she said. “These children are starting school so far behind that most never catch up”.
123Read2Me Children's Literacy Project is a project of the Lions Club of Mordialloc Mentone and Lions District 201V5
